What does the Live Open Audition process entail?

Our audition process consists of an open ballet class and a contemporary class, allowing us to assess candidates' technical proficiency and artistic expression. Following the audition, all applicants will remain for interviews with our esteemed faculty, providing further insight into their potential fit within our program and discussing applicants’ individual goals and aspirations.

Applicants are not required to prepare any material in advance of the Live Open Audition.

Live Open Audition Schedule: Sunday - 31/08/2025

9:00am Arrival (self warm-up and registration)

10:00 – 11:30am Open Classical Ballet class (1 hr 30 min)

15 minute break

11:45 – 12:15pm Pointe class/Boys class (30 min)

15 minute break

12:30 – 1:30pm Open Contemporary class (1 hr)

1:30 – 3:30pm Interviews

What to bring and wear for the Live Open Audition?

• Applicants may wear any colour leotard, ballet tights, ballet shoes and pointe shoes.

• Contemporary black tights.

• Water bottle and snacks.

• Any medication if required.

• On the audition day, you will receive an audition number to pin to the front of your leotard.
