Contemporary

Drawing inspiration from the captivating performances of the Sydney Dance Company, our Contemporary classes welcome students from 6 years onwards, promoting a holistic approach to dance.

Lyrical/Modern

Dive into the expressive realm of Lyrical and Modern dance, where emotional storytelling meets contemporary movement. This class invites students from 6 years onwards to embrace a fusion of creativity, technique, and artistic expression.

Jazz

Jazz is a fun, energetic and popular form of dance. Jazz at Dance North Academy focuses on developing stability, musicality, strength, and flexibility in a vibrant and friendly atmosphere. From toddlers to adults, everyone can enjoy the rhythm and movement in these classes.

Bubs

Nurture creativity in your little ones aged 2½ to 3½ with our Bubs class. This unique experience introduces ballet and jazz styles, providing a special bonding time for both parent and child. Watch as your child discovers the joy of dance through movement and music in a supportive environment.

Musical Theatre

Step into the world of Broadway with our Musical Theatre classes, where singing, dancing, and drama intertwine. Tailored for students starting from 7 years old, these classes explore iconic musicals such as “Matilda,” “A Chorus Line,” and “Chicago,” fostering a comprehensive development of performance and Musical Theatre skills.

Hip Hop

Embrace the free, funky, and soulful movements of Hip Hop at Dance North Academy. This street-style dance class is a trendy expression set to the latest music, welcoming students from 6 years old and up. Unleash your creativity and rhythm in this dynamic and contemporary dance form.

Tap

Embark on a fast and fun journey through the world of Tap dance at Dance North Academy. Combining the old-school charm of Fred Astaire with the modern flair of Tap Dogs, our Tap classes cater to students starting from 6 years old. Join us and experience the joy of creating rhythm through the timeless art of tap dancing.

Performance Classes

Dance North Academy’s Performance Classes are an exclusive specialised training offer available for dancers from 6 years old, who possess a passion and talent for performance. Performance Class routines are showcased during the year at various eisteddfods and competitions in Sydney.

Performance Classes encompass a variety of styles such as Contemporary, Modern, Commercial Lyrical, Jazz, Broadway/Musical Theatre, and Classical Ballet.

Performance class students are subject to an audition/application process and are to undergo a minimum of two ballet classes a week as a prerequisite.
