The Tap Pack Performance

We are so honoured to announce that Dance North Academy has been asked to perform alongside Sydney Dance Company and The Tap Pack as part of the Manly “Night At The Barracks” event.

The Tap Pack performance will take place on September 11th and feature an eclectic work curated by the wonderful Chris Haines.

Sydney Dance Company Performance

We are so pleased to be presenting our work “Liminal Space” as an opening act to Sydney Dance Company’s performance at the “Night At The Barracks” performance.

This wouldn’t be possible without the beautiful choreographic work of our directors Mandi Whittaker and Adam Blanch and creative input from Configuration co-artistic director Katya Gray. A huge thank you also to Ryan Gilpin for the music composition and Kerry Mills for our costumes.

The Sydney Dance Company performance will take place on September 24th and will feature a new work created by Dance North Directors Amanda Whittaker and Adam Blanch in association with Configuration Artistic Director; Katya Gray.

Odyssey

Dance North Academy’s first Contemporary Night, presented by our Senior Extension Dancers

“Odyssey” held on 11 November 2017 from 6:30pm at Stella Maris Star of the Sea Theatre. Performed by extension contemporary dancers of Dance North Academy and featuring choreographic works from Adam Blanch, Fiona Jopp and Amanda Whittaker.

Odyessy a long and eventual journey or experience in a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual sense. These notions are explored using abstract interpretations seen through movement and expression.

Sydney Eisteddfod Dance Of Champions

We are thrilled to announce our Performance Modern 5 group "Hope There's Someone" placed 1st at the Sydney Eisteddfod Dance Of Champions.

A huge congratulations to the girls on their beautiful performance and a massive thank you to our wonderful Co-Principal and choreographer Mandi Whittaker on her incredibly moving piece.

Dance of Champions will be televised on Channel 10 on Sunday 15 October 2017 at 12 noon.
